I was inspired. A good friend of mine happened to post on his Facebook about his desire to create a blog. Another friend posted a link to her blog here, on WordPress. I remember years ago having my own blog on LiveJournal, but had no friends, no interest in maintaining, and too little to write about.
I use to figure that there was too little going on in life to have anything to say, let alone anything of interest to others. But after a little ruminating, I thought… well, that’s bogus. Granted, I don’t travel, I don’t have a job, I’m not in school… but what happens in the external world for other’s eyes to see, there are still many things that are kept in my head and seen only by me.
For one: I am a non-op transgendered person. I also adore baking, particularly desserts. I have a nigh unhealthy obsession with zombies, numerous confirmed mental illnesses, and other ailments(conditions, states of being, etc) that are not well-documented upon or even accepted by rational human beings. More posts will be made on all of these topics later.
I’m not expecting to become an internet sensation, nor do I even have he desire to become one. I just figured what I have to say about baking, sock craft, politics, vampyres (as oppose to mythical vampires), otherkin, gender identity, mental health, and sexuality may be of interest to at least one person out there.
I will do my best to keep the petty details of my personal life out of my blog. I doubt anyone really cares all that much about what has me cranky today, what stores I shopped at, or how much weight I’m gaining. I would like to meet interesting individuals who understand what I have to say, or at least have a desire to learn.
Anyway, a proper introduction. My name is Shawn. As I post this, I am 19 years old living in rural Minnesota. I am a voracious reader when I have books available to me and I occasionally write short stories as well. I also play video games, watch movies, and listen to music (but who doesn’t?).
I never intend to post anything X rated, but some mature topics may be brought up.
I hope to post again.
